Visit to Maine

Last week we went to Maine to visit the family. My brother and his crew were up from Maryland and my cousins from Texas were visiting as well. Eshaya had a great time spending time with her older cousins. We all had a great time and can't wait for everyone to get together again! Here are some recent pictures from our trip.

Here is Eshaya playing with Adelynn and Matthew. Both Adelynn and Matthew couldn't get enough of Eshaya. I think they thought she was their little doll because they always wanted to be in her face.

What a Week!

This past week was a pretty rough week. Eshaya caught some yucky stomach virus and an ear infection.... again!!! She wouldn't eat all that much. We took her to the doctor's on Tuesday night and found out she had an ear infection. Friday I had to take her back because she still wasn't eating and we found out she lost 2% of her body weight in two days. She wasn't in the danger zone yet and her hydration levels were still in the normal range. She had a really good day yesterday so hopefully we are in the clear!!! She's finally back to her normal self again!!! She is 11 months old and weighs 18 lbs 13 oz. Here are a few recent pictures of the cutest little Bermudian/American!!!

Getting into Trouble!

Eshaya has been told many times, DO NOT TOUCH THE TV! She knows it's wrong and she still does it. She will crawl over to the TV, turn around and see if we are looking, and then proceed to pull herself up on the stand and touch the TV and the cable box. I decided to take a picture to show her later in life how at 11 months old, she already knew how to push my buttons.



She also loves to play with the DVD's. I really don't care if she plays with them but when she pulls the cover off and mangles it, then we have a problem!!! If she wasn't so darn stinkin' cute.....


 

Recent Pictures

Sorry, we have not updated the blog in awhile. Eshaya has been sick and she is cutting 4 teeth. There wasn't a lot of sleep this past weekend. Here are a few pictures that we have taken of Eshaya over the last week or so. We offered Eshaya some spaghetti and meatballs for the first time and it went over real well!!! She mostly just made a mess but she did end up getting some of the food in her mouth!

9 Month Stats!

Eshaya went to her 9 month well check and she was called "perfect" from her doctor. She weighed in at 18 lbs 5 ozs (50th percentile) and is 28 inches long (66th percentile). She got the second half of her flu shot (we forgot to do this a few months early...oops). She didn't even cry for the shot!!! She did, however, need to get blood drawn to test for lead and she didn't like that one bit. Once it was all over though, she stopped crying and was back to her old self again!!! Here are a few pictures that we have taken over the last week.






We went to the store for diapers the other day and when we got the box home we opened it up to a big surprise. I can't believe that when you buy diapers, a baby actually comes with them! She's a cute baby so we think we'll keep her!!

Beautiful Sunday Afternoon!!

The weather was great on Sunday, so we let Eshaya explore the grass (the neighbor's grass because all we have is dirt and weeds.) She looked so cute in her outfit. We gave her that outfit for Christmas and she is finally able to wear it.



She wasn't so sure about being on her hands and knees in the grass!



Jason went to a car show today so when he got back we got to play around in his classic car. Eshaya thought it was so great that she was in the drivers seat!

What a ham!!!

Eshaya has learned how to smile for the camera!! Every time we go to take a picture of her she scrunches her face up and makes a really funny smile. It was too cute not to share with everyone.

Eshaya's bottom two teeth have been working their way up. They've already broken through the gums. From the looks of this picture, her teeth are clearly bothering her!

Finally some warm weather!!!

We finally had some warm weather so we were able to put Eshaya into a summer outfit! She looked so cute in her little skirt so we had to have a photo shoot in the morning.

Lazy Saturday Afternoon

Eshaya and mommy are not feeling well so we took the day Saturday to hang around the house. The weather was better than predicted so we had a chance to get outside. Eshaya got to sit in daddy's classic car. She looked so cute we had to take a picture.

Visit to Bermuda

We recently went and visited Eshaya's grandparents in Bermuda. It was great to get away from the cold and snow!!! Eshaya did excellent on the plane. She didn't even cry once! She enjoyed being spoiled by everybody there!!!




 

Eshaya is 7 months old!

We can't believe that Eshaya is already 7 months old. She's getting bigger and bigger by the minute. She weighs 16 lbs 8 oz (as of Friday the 4th). She's starting to learn how to crawl and is creeping backwards. Right now she has a bad cold (poor baby!!) and is teething so we have had a few sleepless nights lately!!! Her Nana came and visited this weekend so that was a great distraction!
